According to Vedic astrology my observations are as follows:
1. At the time you have raised this question, it is Cancer ascendant, and lord is placed in the house of efforts, communication etc,
2. Ascendant lord is exchanging aspect with the lord of Profession, achievement, and in the house of Judiciary.
3. Lord of Judiciary and legal matters house is placed in the house of achievement.
I feel you have raised this question at very nice time. Possibility of achieving desired position needs efforts, but possibility is very strong.
Regarding time factor, I  have not worked out.
